Drain unblocking and cleaning
A blockage is never as sudden as it looks. Cooking oil, rice, coffee grounds and wet wipes build up in the pipe for weeks until the way through gets narrow, and then one cup of water is enough to bring it all back up. The first thing our technician does is ask where it started, then works out whether the blockage is in the fixture itself, the main line or the inspection chamber.
For ordinary blockages we use an electric drain machine; for long runs and hardened grease, high-pressure water jetting. If a blockage keeps coming back to the same place, the camera goes in and you see the cause with your own eyes. Grease, roots or a broken pipe. Before we leave, we test the drainage in front of you.

Small tips that make a big difference
- Cooking oil belongs in a jar once it cools, not down the sink.
- Pour water into drains you do not use every week so they do not dry out and let the smell up.
- Wet wipes do not break down like toilet paper. Keep them out of the toilet, whatever the packet says.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the sewer smell come back after cleaning?
